Our Story

The story of Maid Brigade of Greater Fort Worth began in 1989 when our founder, Keith Clem, found an unexpected copy of USA Today on his front doorstep. A TCU alumnus, Keith had moved back to Fort Worth from Louisiana a few months prior and was brainstorming ideas for a new business. He wanted to do something that gave him agency over his own life, and the paper sparked his curiosity with an ad for residential cleaning services, a new industry at the time. The wheels started turning, and a few phone calls and meetings later, Keith was the owner of a national franchise.

One new customer at a time, we grew our business. Keith’s daughter, Megan, who was only five years old at the time we started, now works full-time alongside her dad. With Megan’s young daughter Clementine often around, we have three generations of Clems in the office.

We’re proud to be a family operation, and it’s informed the culture and practices of our entire business. We have a strong staff, many of whom have been with us for years. That’s because we treat our employees like family. We have genuine, caring relationships with each employee and keep an open-door policy for communication. We care about our employees, and because we treat them well, they treat our customers well in turn.

Maid Brigade of Greater Fort Worth was the first maid service in the United States to make the switch to entirely sustainable, responsible Green cleaning products. Most people don’t know that, due to the toxic chemicals we bring into our homes, our indoor environments are even more polluted than the air outside. For the safety of our employees and customers we got rid of all the harmful synthetic fragrances and toxins. We may not leave your house smelling like pine fresh, but you can be sure it’s better for you, your family, and the environment.

It’s more important than ever to make sure your space is not only clean but safe and fully disinfected. We are the only cleaning service using Electrolyzed Water or E-water, an all-natural, hospital grade disinfectant that we use to disinfect 360 degrees of spaces with our Electrostatic PUREmist sprayers. In short, this stuff is unlike anything else. During COVID, to give back to the community we gave out thousands of gallons of our hospital grade disinfectant free to shelters, City of Fort Worth Fire and Police Departments and First Responders, the mayor’s office as well as to our customers.
